God indeed provided! On June 16 we packed over 108,000 meals and tallied or $23,000 in donations.

Update on our FMSC Mobile Pack meals: I am excited to let you know that all of the 504 boxes (108,864 meals) packed at your event in Kankakee have shipped from the FMSC warehouse in Aurora, IL. They were sent on 3 shipments through 3 partners to 2 countries; the breakdown is listed below: 108 boxes (23,328 meals) were sent to Nicaragua through our mission partner, Food for the Poor.

The meals packed in Kankakee were sent along with food packed at events in Mattoon, Minooka, and Hodgkins, IL; Boscobel, WI; and New Canaan, CT for a grand total of 1,260 boxes or 272,160 meals shipped to Nicaragua. Food for the Poor’s mission is to link the church of the First World with the church of the Third World in a manner that helps both the materially poor and the poor in spirit. Food for the Poor helps provide food, housing, health care, education, water projects, emergency relief, and micro-enterprise assistance in the Caribbean and Latin America. To learn more about Food for the Poor, please visit www.foodforthepoor.org. 36 boxes (7,776 meals) were sent to Haiti through our mission partner, Haiti’s Children, Inc.

These meals were sent with food packed at events in Wheaton and Frankfort, IL for a total of 1,260 boxes (272,160 meals). Haiti’s Children, Inc. provides primary and secondary education, vocational training, and food programs to needy children in Haiti. This, along with medical clinics and agricultural and environmental education, is designed to move poverty-stricken Haitians towards self-sufficiency. A key goal of Haiti’s Children, Inc. is to give children of Haiti the chance to receive Jesus Christ and to reassure them that God has not forgotten them. T

Meals packed at events in Minooka, IL and Henderson, TN (at GO! Camp) were included in this shipment for a total of 1,260 boxes (272,160 meals) that went to Haiti. Bright Hope’s mission is to bring Hope to those living on less than $1 a day.

They envision a world where under-resourced, indigenous churches transform their communities and bring Hope to the extreme poor today, tomorrow, and for eternity. Bright Hope has many programs to help achieve their mission, including food and water, medical assistance, microenterprise, educational support, pastor training, and many more.
